Hi, I’m Kirsty Gardner, co-owner of Ja-Max Industries. I’ve spent nearly two decades in the automotive industry, leading a team that specialises in fleet servicing and maintenance for the mining, agricultural, and commercial sectors. But beyond the tools, systems, and vehicles, what really drives me is people. A big part of who I am — both personally and professionally — comes back to one simple belief: I want to leave people, places, and things better than I found them. That belief shapes how I lead my team, how we support our clients, and how I show up in our community. Whether it’s helping a customer get back on the road, mentoring another business owner, supporting women in trades, or simply creating opportunities for my team to grow — I’m always thinking about the impact we’re leaving behind. Something people might not know about me is that I’m naturally quite introverted. Most people assume that running a business, leading a team, and being involved in community initiatives means I’m always outgoing — but the truth is, I’m most comfortable behind the scenes, building systems, supporting people, and helping others succeed. And maybe that’s my hidden talent — quietly building strong teams, strong businesses, and strong communities. Because at the end of the day, success isn’t just about business growth — it’s about the legacy we leave behind and the positive impact we create along the way.
